MM and KM Links August 2009 [Week 3]

Good Evening AB Linkers, everywhere!

Welcome to this third week in the reign of Pope Adrian. Just when I was commenting on the famine of points during Week[1], he throws in a second week with well over 50 points being distributed among the faithful. There is much to be said about the Shrubbery Squad needing a week just to get the measure of any new setter! That is, unless you're called Kay ~ who needs 4 or 5 weeks to get the hang of what's going on and after that there's a change in the setter! Kay regularly goes to "Car Boot Sales" and to date has bought 23 car boots! May I wish Kay a much better performance tommorrow! (sic).

I shall be keeping an eye especially on frontrunners centrino, tearinghair, ChrisHewat, Elspeth & teacher1 who I believe have never (as yet) won the MM Links Title and are showing potential this month (with three weeks still to go). So don�t forget to log on to see how this contest will develop. The MM Links Posting should open tomorrow at 8.45am and the four words to be linked should be declared at 9.00am.

As usual there will be an international version of this same game, which will be played in parallel and is called KM Links. This game kicks off at an earlier hour has for several years now been organised all the way from Oz by our very own seekeerz aka Steff ~ the Hostess with the Mostest! You are invited to chance your arm at both Link Games?� They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards.

Last week I mentioned the Test Match at nearby Headingley! All I can say now is �Pride comes before a fall (of ten wickets)�!

My neighbour has just come back from a Wedding in Ireland. He hit the guiness several times...and I believe it seems a lot stronger over there than here!! He was quite ill and a laughing stock according to his poor suffering wife! :-))
