I know we have a long time to go and ABers get very upset by anyone asking questions too early, but when is it considered acceptable to start fishing for leads (rather than answers)? I have five left and seem to have ground to a halt!

Look at the title of the novel ! lol
Thanks, teacher1, I did know the title, just wanted your confirmation.
Goodnight.
Goodnight and thanks.
Has everybody except me got 92 In the past you had a horse but were interested in Peter's (4) I keep having ideas pop into my head but cannot get it. Any clues please?
I haven't got it yet !! lol
See my answer to another thread.
Hi Mtsgirl. To help with 92 think of a fairly obscure meaning of 'peter' and a two-letter abbreviation of horse. Hope you get it from that. Can anyone help me with 26 Unnatural hatred of ill man who had a struggle(5,6)/ I've really enjoyed doing this qiz but am now at the frustrating stage of having a few clues that are proving impossible to solve.
P-Potter think of 2nd world war and a leader anagram of hatred of ill
Regards I am struggling on 31
There are other clues for 31 on another thread but one quick clue - "neat" is crossword speak for cattle/cow. The answer does not begin with "R". The answer is abstruse - it took me a long time to work it out, with a bit of help.
Thanks Spitza.Kicking myself for not getting that. I needed help with 31 too. What a difference a little pointer makes. But in spite of help can't get 42 Man of conviction works hard for Catholics inside. Would be grateful for a further hint.
P-Potter answer for 42 is hidden in the clue

I am afraid I am still struggling with 42, despite the various statements that the answer is contained in the clue - is it a particularly obsure word? I think have tried all consecutive letter combos in 'hard for catholics' without success!
It is there gandolf ...... keep trying ! lol

Finally got there, although the word doesn't seem to be in One-look Dictionary, on-line Chambers, and is pretty tough to find on Google. Worth the perseverance!
Thanks Spitza. I got it eventually but like Gandolf34 struggled even after the clue. Not often a word wouldn't be in Onelook Dictionary. Good job I got the Chambers Dict. for my last birthday! I've only one to do now Have a dance around and meet someone who worked on the roads.Would appreciate a nudge in the right direction. Very willing to help anyone struggling over other clues.

Look for a dance around and...
42 Hi Gandolf - well done for perseverance! Interestingly, Google delivers instantly using ç for c in its search field with the other five letters. However, still no reponse from OneLook using the cedilla, although it does recognise façade and countless others. Regards, ja
Thanks Gandolf34 . Think I've got it now.
mts - hi, sorry - just noticed your thread!...I am still having probs with 42 (despite all the other hints) and 82..further hints would be much appreciated..any you are still stuck with?
