MM and KM Links March 2010 [Week 2]
46 Answers
Hi there Shrubbery gang and merry Linkers.
This is just a post to remind you that 'Strix the Bibliophile' will be back tomorrow morning to mess with your heads once again.
BUT...
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
Then maybe you can beat the grey t'wit t'woo
And get rewarded with a bonus point or two.
Miss meg kept her cool and was well rewarded last week. Can YOU keep your cool and emulate her achievement this weekend?
Keeping cool shouldn't be a problem if this wintry weather hangs around much longer.
I'm not sure what the weather in the Shrubbery is doing tonight but I understand the owl is finding it pretty miserable just now. He was heard this evening standing in the stables fluttering to himself;
And nobody knows
(Tiddly Pom)
How cold my toes
(Tiddly Pom)
How cold my toes
(Tiddly Pom)
Are growing.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Watch out for the launch of the MM Links Game at 8:45, 8:50, 8:55 tomorrow morning and then the links will appear at 9 am and the shrubbery will empty within a matter of minutes.
Of course, you should also look out for the exciting, high-scoring international version of this same game, which is called KM Links and kicks off at a much earlier hour but there is nothing to be gained in that game by playing early - the timing of your KM posting is deemed to be irrelevant. The more hits you are able to register, the more points you score. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz and goes by the name of “seekeerz” (aka Steff) who cheerfully does a sterling job week after week.
Now why not chance your arm at both Link Games?” They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards. This is the start of a new month and so everyone starts off equal again on zero points. Who will get a 'mention' for being high on the leader-board? Who will be the 'Hotshot of the week'?
Watch for tomorrow's posts and find out.

just a quick dash in and out to say 'Hi guys' and I am wondering what 'the grey t'wit'
(gen2's words, not mine!!!!) has got up his wing for us for tomorrow! After last week I might just give up completely! I couldn't even find the results of the KM game! Oh woe is me!!!!

I get lucky this year - first year for ages that daughter hasn't been away at a Knitting exhibition for Mothers' Day weekend. No chance from son, though; being in USA he doesn't know when Mothering Sunday is over here, and by the time it's happening in America, in May, he realises that it's too late so no need to bother... that's boys for you!
I will probably do lunch here too. Our eldest daughter will be here, and she suggested we eat out, but everywhere will be packed out, and the service will be awful. She did offer to pay...but both she and Reg are off on Monday, so I suggested we go out then. It will be quieter and better food.
I think I could be vegetarian. I don't object to eating meat, but I don't really enjoy it. Much prefer vegetables.
