Good morning everyone, from a glorious autumn day, but one which I've not been enjoying very much - I seem to have acquired an odd little lergy and I wish I knew from where, so that I could return it asap !!!

However, the game has been scored and the results tallied, just a case of typing it and then doing very little.
The matches where -

Young Berry [ and I can hear the knashing of teeth from across the miles !! ]
Kite Mark
Purple Heart
Soup Kitchen

There was only one taker for the Young Berry, but more on that later. Kite Mark and Soup Kitchen were both very popular, providing quite a few entrants with a 3 point, 2 correct combination,,while a very select few went for a Purple Heart.

Well, we're at the halfway point of another month and while there's a busy Leader Board, there's also a number yet to get their campaigns underway, so we'll reconvene the gang [!] next Saturday same time, same place, to make the next assault, till then I wish you all a good week and will move on to the all important Leader Board......S

Who is there left of the Free Fall Club to step into the breach and pick up the standard from my hands and go forth to maintain the honour of our fellowship?

I think you're talking to thin air for now Strix !!!
Well done, everyone, and commiserations to Strix. Look after yourself, Seekerz.
Sorry to hear about the allergy Steff - the universal panacea used to be a cup of tea and lots of warmth - well you should have the latter downunder

I'm delighted to be moving up the leader board but cannot imagine how (and, being of a certain age, I've never heard of Young Berry - Chuch Berry yes )

Anyway take care and look after yourself - we all rely on you

J
I meant of course Chuck Berry - my eyes aren't functioning at this
early hour!

don't encourage him, tearinghair !! talk about a storm in a teacup !!! ever seen an owl having a hissy fit, it's not pretty !!!

John - our lovely warm day is rapidly cooling into a very chilly evening and I think that's the answer - last week, with the rain and humidity, the nights were nearly as warm as the days, but last night it shot down to 7, which is a bit sudden after 19 - we were all looking for blankets last night....crazy !!! I'll catch you all later
Well done to all the point scorers.
Thanks Steff, sorry I missed you on Saturday night, hope you're feeling better soon.
Thanks Steff...hope you feel much better soon. x

What a shame...Strix isn't as bad as even he thought he was! :-))

Have a good week everyone.
Well done to all the points scorers!

Commiserations to Strix : no points for me again this week - permission to join the Free Fall Club??

Thanks to Steff - have a good week everybody!
Hi Steff! sorry about the lergy. Hope it's nothing to do with bunnies or even owls (fur and feathers!!!). Just slap something cool on it!!

Did you know that Chambers has 7 whole columns dedicated to words beginning with kn . . . and only 1½ columns dedicated to words beginning with gn . . . ? AND if you are writing them in shorthand they would look the same anyway!! It seems so pointless. Couldn't we have fun if we went through all the words beginning with 'n' and stuck either a 'k' or a 'g' in front of them? There may even be knomes moving into Zurich!!

Strix, for goodness sake stop feeling sorry for yourself and do yourself up again! I haven't a clue who or what Young Berry is. Do you hear me complaining?! :0)
i THINK IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY AT YOUR DICTIONARY YOU'LL FIND THAT gNOMES ALREADY STARTS WITH A 'G' not an 'N'.
the whole point being columbus, that they could all be hilariously interchangeable with a little bit of imagination. As a proofreader I am well acquainted with how to use a dictionary (hun)
Cannot believe that I am still on the leaderboard...don't think anyone should be worried, though.

Well done all the points scorers and thanks to seekeerz. Hope you feel a lot better soon. :-))
