Many thanks quinie! Still struggling though, think 29 might end in CARGO and 22 might be an anagram of roof rest giving FORTROSE but can't get the rest of the clue to fit, ie Rosemarkie and Fortrose!!! Clues are rubbish in my opinion!

I think Fortrose is fine. rose near fort the building. Weird clues, I agree-some of them anyway. Can't think of a place ending in cargo. I'll get back to it tomorrow- going to relax and read my People's Friend- showing my age??

There is a small place called 'Cargo' but it is just north of Carlisle so probably not the one.

22 could be Rosemarkie and Fortrose, if it is both an anagram of "roof" and "rest" and "Rose" with " markie" as it sounds like "marquee" - the " building" bit!!! Or am I clutching at straws?!
