Too much gratitude! -:)
7a. is an anagram = naartje i.e. a small orange; 6d - Barnum= Phineas was his Christian name;
hogo = stench, original meaning of hogo is 'high flavour or strong scent'.
How do you equate. Son - er - Phineas = BARNUM? I can see PHINEAS = BARNUM.
ER = UM. But how does SON = BARN?
