every time a come to this thread i see nothing but people needing help to finish a quiz to win a years supply of dishwasher tablets or complete a crossword. is this how it was supposed to be? bores me to tears and wastes an opportunity for more than one person to post up suggestions or solutions and poss create a disscussion!

  Not everyone does quizzes just to win prizes.For some it is a learning curve. This section of the site does say Qizzes and Puzzles.

mr.piper you could go elsewhere ,your not compeled to come here if you dont like it. I personaly like it ,some of it is good some is bad , but on the whole its good and entertaining. Anybody agree?

I totally agree with you fordward. I find that this site can help me answer things I don't know and at the same time I am learning by reading other questions and answers.

It can be good fun to try and work answers out and I've found a lot of useful research sites looking for answers, such as Wikipedia and it's nice to show off a bit, of course.

I've also become hooked on DITLOIDS.

At the same time I agree with mr. piper, who I have stumbled across in other sections and who seems to enjoy the cut and thrust of general / more complex issues. I also find if there is a simple answer to a question and there is one answer then I don't normally check it out. 

When I tried to start a debate about the best quiz questions people didn't seem to have much appetite for the topic. There are very few actual puzzles (except dingbats) and some of the questions that seem to merit discussion are soon buried in lots of crossword clues. I am sure there is room for both camps. At least there is some debate about this....

 

What are the great quiz/puzzle subjects that get you all going ??
