I know it's early to ask but now I've reached the frustrating phase with this great quiz where I can't get these answers no matter how hard I try. I only want pointers, not the answers and would be very happy to return the favour.

43 I have found it. That is a clue.
I've found it already thanks
Can anyone help with no 64 ? Clues only please--
Understanding of the views of others despite being pedestrian. 7. 7.

'despite' will start you off. There are no anagrams involved.I still haven't got 99. I just didn't get the 'dumb broad' clue. Can anyone help with another pointer.
for 99 keep thinking it must be lanes for narrow roads, have tried it with GI for American, or US, can't get it to work.
99 I keep thinking lanes for confusing narrow roads but won't work with GI or US for the American part. Bet I'm way off the mark!
Oops, I didn't mean to say it twice!

I've got an answer from gi and lanes but I'm not at all sure it's right.
You're on the right ines with an anag of lanes, but not with GI or US; deaf might have been a better hint than dumb
Friend from previous quizzes Gandolf, I get that it is a sign language but still haven't solved it, only know the one beginning with M. Will get there somehow and then on to the other 30 I still need, some of them the allegedly easiest ones. Pardon grammar!
What an idiot I am.....read the clues properly!!! Got 99 at last, thanks so much Gandolf and others....onward and upward!
I'm still being dense DESPITE the earlier clue for 64. Can anybody provide another hint/clue please. It's driving me nutty.
wily....still not got 64 either, pretty sure I have the second word, begins with R but the second word still evades me as the one I imagined it was for despite has only 6 letters.
Wily....got that wrong, I mean first word still evades me. Any clues for 62 anybody please?
hi mtsgirl
thanks for that will carry on wracking my brains but not holding out much hope on that one.
62 is a type of old french poem and is an anagram of two of the words toward the end of the clue.
I think I've got it!!! My second word begins with R but is in fact the second letter of the second word! Finally understood the meaning of DESPITE.
Thanks all. Two to go now.
Happy to give clues for others if it helps anyone and doesn't cause a rant!
Wilycoyote Thanks so much for the clues on 62, had tried that anagram over and over without success. Now to try to understand 64, which you have described so well....think my second word may be wrong....a person who goes for walks?
@MTSgirl. On 64 firstly have gone for a 6 letter word for despite followed by a 8 letter word for walking. Have then taken the first letter of the second word and added it to the end of the first. This gives you the 7,7, and which is 'understanding the views of others. Let me know what you think!

Mtsgirl, for 64,the first word begins with T and the second with R.I've now got 99 in spite of the 'dumb broad' clue which just bamboozled me. Im signinf off now till the next Rainbow quiz . They're good fun till you're really stumped and then help from you fellow quizzers is a boon. Thank you.
willycote and ppotter....still looking! Have even been talking to my daughter in the States just now and asking her to get my 16 yr old grandson to help - he is gifted (but not a nerd!) So, am determined to get 64, keep thinking I've got it and then it doesn't work. Never give up is my motto.
