I don't think that studying makes someone a genius. You either have that talent, if I can call it that, or not. Studying will add to the store of knowledge which a genius would use for further development in his or her field.

If you over-study you, like as not, won't take it in and so will find it hard to do well. Short bits and breaks over a normal working day, is best IMO.

I suggest you take an IQ test and see if you come out at 'Genius Level'
An IQ of over 145 and you are on the way. (Einstein was said to have an IQ of 160.) Otherwise don't bother
