The Age Of The Universe In Seconds.

Is 13.7 Billion Seconds Ago the Year 1588?
Current secular concensus for the age of the universe is 13.7 Billion Years. If those years were seconds, would that be 1588?
The year of the defeat of the Spanish Armada, a notable event. If my working out is correct (one billion=1 followed by 9 zeroes) which I’m uncertain, whose birth or death - some person of particular fame - would be the most suitable?
I’m unsure how generous I could be with the year, yet still be a feasible person to reasonably fit those 13.7 billion secs. Apologies for the long-windedness, had an op' still under effects of general anaesthetic :-)

I think the maths is correct. 1568 was about 14.3 billion seconds ago. I’ve had a quick look at Wikipedia for people who were born or died in 1588 and the only ones I’ve heard of are the philosopher Thomas Hobbes, the theologian and mathematicia n Marin Mersenne, both of whom were born in 1588, and Queen Elizabeth 1’s favourite Robert Dudley, who died in 1588. Oh, and Blaise Pascal’s dad Étienne was also born in 1588.

@Zacs-Master:
13.7 Billion years since the 'big bang'?
How many years do 13.7 Billion Seconds make?
If every year was one second, then 13.7B sec ago would be 1588. If I haven't missed a zero.
So if we went back to that year, what major event happened around the year 1588 +/- ?
As I mentioned, had day surgery to laser a staghorn kidney stone. I was going home, operation wasn't a success, so being kept overnight.
On a creaky/laggy Tesco mini laptop.
Apologies if it's unclear/too abstract/nonsensical...
Thank you for the replies and if anyone cares to simplify my poorly-worded question, please feel free to do so.
I just showed it to a man in the next bed, and he understood, but he may just be scared/humouring the crazy man. AKA 'Me' :-)

@Scrunge999, I know, you'd think there'd be endless people born on year 'X' is your '14.3' a more up to date figure?
@Canary42, how long is the current figure for a generation?
I work on a Generation being 30 yrs. When I was a child, I remember a teacher saying that it wasn't even 100 generations since the life of Christ. Thank you for the replies.
I was told earlier by a nurse, preoperative, that I shouldn't make any important financial decisions for the next 48 hrs. I'm currently looking at the classic car section on an auction site. Luckily, this question will stop me making 'any important finalcial messes' Night :-)
