Is there any proof that mens colds are worse than womens? Ive got man flu.

Well, the fact that we try so very hard to hide the fact that we are ill - apart from lying comatose on the sofa moaning that is!

It has to be worse - men are poleaxed, women just get on with it - what more proof than that do you need?

Depends on your definition of "worse", but using the definition of how you feel then it could be argued that yes mens colds are often worse.

This works on the basis that it's not the cold virus that makes you feel ill, but your body. Women seem to have a better tollerance of various things such as pain, and it may be that their bodies just don't make them feel quite as bad (or they are better at ignoring it) since genetically they've got a pretty important role to play.

Not sure if theres any proof of their immune system being better however. Then again, a lot of is down to each person and how they personally react to such things...
