why does it annoy some people when someone duplicates a question..they don't have to read it, subscribe to the thread, pay for using this site or any other decent reason I can think of. some people are far too far up their own ar**s in my view. They think because they know a little bit about something they've the right to knock others who don't. Perhaps if they had better things to do than sit on here all day looking at the questions they'd be a lot better off

Fair enough. But that's human nature - all apsects of which are captured here on this site at one time or another. All the foibles, annoyances, predjudices, love and support that you find in the big wide world are all here on the AB. To enjoy any, you must tolerate all.

It annoys people who have posted questions lower down the page because duplicate questions mean that their questions get pushed onto page 2 much faster and there they have less chance of being seen or answered.

its not annoying the first time. it's annoying after the 5th or 6th time. especially annoying since they have the ability to search for a similar question. (maybe even exactly the same question!!) Especially since I believe when you submit a question, it shows you similar questions anyway.

You've a point, and I'm one of the ones who gets annoyed when every second or third question is the same (because it makes the page boring).

And yes, I agree it would be better if i had something else to do. (sighs)

Ah well. I'll stick with being annoyed and only finding things interesting when i haven't had to read them for the fortieth time.

You think because you don�t care about others feeling that they should care about yours? Perhaps if you had better things to do than sit there complaining about people who care about the quality of this site you�d be a lot better off.
