If you spend say 9 minutes on a high powered sunbed (180 watts) what would be the equivalent time you would have to spend in the real sunshine? Or is it impossible to work out cos of different temperatures/cloud cover etc?

the question is what you wan to measure? if you want to measure the uv light that is coming through, well that is almost impossible as man made beds produce varying amounts of uv light each time you use it and also in different places on the bed, so it is near impossible to tell exactly, but averages can be taken... and i do not know the average to your question.
