Can anyone tell me what happened to the old chap from Hartlepool who, in the mid 80's, invented a paste which was completely heat resistant. In the show he painted an uncooked egg with the stuff and then subjected it to a blow torch for a minute. Paste was gthen peeled off and the egg cracked: completey runny and uncooked.

He reckoned that NASA was interested but he refused to patent it or work with NASA whom he regarded suspiciously thinking they were trying to steal his idea.
