I went to the dentist today. Had to have a filling (Not Good!).
Anyway before the dentist started he put these glasses on me. To stop any splashes getting into my eyes I would imagine. But the question is the glasses were orange tinted. Why are they tinted orange or is it just my dentist? I think that they give them to me because they know I am feeling apprehensive and they want me to also look stupid. Any ideas if this is true?
yeah, they have clear ones for some people and different tints/designs depending on how stupid they want you to look. There's usually a camera in that light-arm thingy and they laugh at you in their tea breaks.
Your dentist will commonly use resin fillings that are 'cured' (set hard) by shining a strong ultra-violet light on them. The orange lenses will totally block the UV light and prevent possible damage to your eyes should the light-source be mis-directed.
my dentist has orange ones i like them, they could stop me from going blind one day, if you dentist gives you clear ones their trying to blind you and they dont want you to see the work they done to your teeth TIP FOR FREE change you dentist if you get clear glasses.
