Green IS a primary colour. The primaries are red green and blue. Don't confuse them with the colours used in printing and paint where yellow cyan and magenta are mixed to produce the desired colour. Most 'red' pigments have a magenta element and 'blue' pigments a cyan element so the 'paint primaries' are often incorrectly described as red blue and yellow.
