does anyone know what substance was used as the acid blood in the alien films. everytime the blood is spilt it eats through anything. i know theres no acid in the world that can eat through metal or stone that quickly. maybe just special effects. any ideas?

i think it may have been acetone, spilt on a polystyrene set.
That would do it.
I thought I had made my fortune when I invented a universal solvent - problem was there was no way of storing it.
