It's simply a reapplication of one of the oldest known laws of physics. A similar energy source currently powers the pope mobile. The principle involved in acquiring the necessary power to make it work is more commonly known as the gullibility factor.

I don't think it was a con so much as distorted thinking in what it would achieve. They make some important observations in their reply at the end. such as in the laws of physics a bumble bee should not be able to fly, the speed of light being variable, etc. We should never condemn until any new invention has been solidly tested else no progress can ever be made.

The popular misconception about a bee not being able to fly is because people don't take into ******* that a bee's wings flap and rotate unlike a conventional aeroplane.

I think on reflection it's because people want it to be true because they want scientists to get it wrong and to be shown up as failable.

I don't know what the reference to the "variable speed of light" is though. As far as I know in a vacuum the speed of light is constant

I think the population is split down the middle. Half want a new invention to succeed and the other half feel its right to pour scorn on anything new. I would bet that if you studied the biographies of all famous past inventors that they have suffered in this manner.

Instead of betting on it, why not actually study the biographies yourself? Or bettre yet the science that makes people dismissive of this kind of thing? Even if it's true that inventors of succesful devices were originally doubted and scorned by people who said "it'll never work" it does not follow that inventions that appear to defy the currently accepted laws of physics are somehow validated by the fact that they are greeted with scepticism.

You seem to forget Braider that in the clip a qualified electrical engineer verified the workings of the machine. If we are to disbelieve every expert when our own knowledge of the subject is limited then no progress would ever be made.

There is a principle that incredible claims require incredible evidence.

Eternal energy machines are incredible claims because they contradict one of the firmest laws of science. That of the conservation of energy.

There is a list of failed eternal motion machines as long as my arm.

It's akin to claiming that you can turn lead into gold with a magnet.

Now if I told you that you'd want to see some pretty incredible evidence wouldn't you?

Remember Engineers and Scientists are as capable of loosing their marbles of commiting fraud as anyone else. that's one reason that Science doesn't work off of the back of one set of research results but requires independant verification.

Has there been independant verification of this? nope? thought not!

Frankly I find it amazing that in the 21st Century people are still parted from their money by scientific snake-oil merchants this obvious.
