Absolute zero is the state in which there is zero energy in a body. There are complicated quantum mechanical reasons why this can never be obtained but you could just think about it as that you would have to wait for ever to see if there was some vibration (energy) in order to measure absolute zero and so you can't reach it.
However some very strange states of matter can occur. One is called the Einstein-Bose condensate. In this the atoms effectively become the same!
