Why is I.V Pabrinex given as an intermittent infusion rather than a bolus? Is it an irritant to the skin if bolused?

Thanks in advance!

I seem to remember reading somewhere that there was a high possibility of an anaphylactic reaction to pabrinex, or rather the vitamin B. I would imagine that might have something to do with the preferred and recommended method of administration.
