i too am lucky enough to have see a shuttle launch "in the flesh"

yes realised I had calculated wrong Just seen it.
We were due to see a launch in 1992, on our honeymoon, as In Orlando,Florida, but delayed in take off after effects of Hurricane Andrew that year........shuttle was due to launch on sept 1st......delayed to sept 12th and we were already on second part of our honeymoon, in the Bahamas, so missed launch...........what a pisser! :0(

Back there again soon and must check to see if any launches due that month.......one day, eh?
