My father used to collect 'modern used' British postage stamps. (It's all to do with looking for colour variations, minor printing errors, misplaced phosphor bands, etc). He'd buy bags of 'kiloware' from charity shops, collected by people like Jenny Thomas.
While 'commemorative' stamps (such as those issued for Christmas each year) might be of the greatest interest to such collectors, the ordinary 'definitive' stamps can also yield treasure for them, so they can certainly be included within 'kiloware'.
