Hi... (I posted this first in How It Works...apologies for missing this more relevant forum)

In past years when Christmas Eve fell on a Sunday I recall post being delivered...anyone know if this will happen this year?

Well, according to an article in the Daily Mail today, Royal Mail are running a full delivery service on Sunday.

HOWEVER, as you may gather from my name, I work for them as a postman, and no we are NOT working. They don't have the money to pay the wages now - up until a few years ago we also worked Good Friday, but as part of their savings culls, we no longer do that. I personally wouldn't work on a Sunday even if they wanted us to tho.
I remember from my boyhood there was even a postal delivery on Christmas morning! (If it wasn't a Sunday, that is).

And Easter was weird. Good Friday a delivery, but no collections from postboxes. Easter Monday, the other way round no letters through your box, but there was a (single) collection.
Post on a sunday! Your having a laugh! I had to change my address & get a new bank card, it took 6 weeks & then, magically , change of address, card & PIN number all came in the same post along with my benefits check & TV licence card, both of which were late.
