lol Zacs.

You don't keep toads & have a nephew called Benjamin staying with you do you?
Not that my mother deserves anything right now, but I've bought her a Lancome Mascara and Cils booster duo, and one of those foundation/powder compacts and then got a free bag off goodies for buying two products. I'll probably add more nik naks to it as the day draws closer. I'm jetting off on that day, but she probably won't even notice I'm gone.

I'm going to get my mum a little bird bath. She pointed it out a couple of months ago.
what about a small photo book / memory box of snaps of favourite times you've had together over the years...starting with you as a wee little baby through to nowdays? IT's more personal and shows an effort.
Nothing.
I put flowers on my mum's grave on mothers day.

My mother in law is an evil old hag so I buy her nothing.
My dear mum will get a lovely card and a basket of spring flowers on her grave . x
Mum was never one for a fuss on Mothering Sunday after we all grew up, when we were little we would be given a prayer card to give our Mum from the Vicar at Sunday School, I might take a potted plant to the grave on the Sunday but I won't be too bothered if I don't, my own kids usually manage cards and pressies for me which I love! Plus my grandson always gives me a nan card!
I buy a garden centre gift voucher for her, then take her there to buy what she wants with it.
It's my dad's 80th birthday the day before mother's day, so we are having a big family party for him. The next day, as a joint belated birthday pressie for him & a mother's day pressie for her - we have got them two tickets for "Dixie Days & Nashville Nights - an extravaganza of country music for music lovers" at the Princess Theatre in Hunstanton.

Mock ye not.... it's more fun that it sounds(!)
My mum reckoned if you only saw her or contacted her on Mothers day then she'd rather you didn't bother. Fortunately we were a close family and kept in touch all year round.

But I know she felt a bit sorry for our nippy neighbour who had basically snapped at all her children and thus only ever got a card once a year.
I feel heartily ashamed of myself now, and should be grateful that I've still got a mum to spoil! Consider my wrist slapped!
I don't get on with my mum.........many and varied reasons

So,I think if I could get hold of some anthrax I would send her that.
Anthrax dotty?
She must be an old cow......?!
