and Ive got to walk to work in 7" of snow. It`ll take me about an hour. I am a cook at the local hospial so I am needed unfortunately

I once walked 8 miles to work, through snow that was thigh deep in places, taking just over three hours to get there. On my arrival I was told by a cleaner that I must have set out just before the local radio announcement that my place of work (a school) was closed. So (after I'd cadged a cup of tea from the cleaners) I had to turn straight round and walk 8 miles back again :-(
