Sister's coming shortly so I thouht it would be shopping followed by much gossip & scoffing dans le jardin but it's gone cloudy. Have you seen the temperatures for next week...very warm. We might have to go to Ibiza to cool down.

I've got a lot of really old copper coins but they're a bit worn so probably worth nowt. Tarquin finds them fascinating, especially the size of them, & we were trying to imagine all the things they'd been through & where they'd been.

A quick hello from me. Off to Fuschia's for my usual. I'm really pleased you had a great time Lottie. It seems to me that was what you needed a real 'pick-me-up'.
I have a few old coins but I'm sure they're not worth much just sentimental I suppose. You've given me something to do now. I'll have to get them out and have a look - when I'm not digging :¬)

Lottie I am glad you had a good time....it always amazes me how little some things are said to be worth, I bet he'd think the notes were worth more if he was selling, not buying. DH decided to try a day with no side effects relief meds yesterday which was very unhappy for all concerned. He gave in at 16.00 and by 19.00 was feeling loads better.....we had been told he would continue to need them for 2 to 3 weeks after treatment but he hates feeling drugged. Anyway once he is better that's another thwack I owe him. Sis and I have just been putting our entries in fr the local horticultural and craft show. A mate of ours has been roped in to help and they are short of entries so he twisted my arm. Sis turned out to be here at the right time, so I twisted her arm. We have six entries,4 potatoes, a vase of herbs both me, then a birthday card each and a piece of cross stitch each....we can get the results at 15.30. Not expecting to win but would love a highly commended.

The rain has gone, the sun is out an I can smell the dreaded smell of burning but have checked all my pathways and land and nothing burning there. There was another big fire in Sant josep yesterday but it was quickly brought under control.

Am very pleased with myself (but not smug) have managed to record from laptop onto an external dvd rewriter, and the dvd disc works.

Now a while ago we were discussing dressing gowns, can someone please point me to a full length one, which one steps into and has a zip halfway up, or one that does up all the way down. Thank you sweeties.

I ordered one the same as Woof's as well. The long was too short on me. My spotty one is lovely and anklelength. I also found that the Woofy one was much smaller in the same size for some reason. Nice style and very very comfortable and flattering. I hate sack of potato dressing gowns!!!

Well friends, I have to admit defeat. I can't dig anymore. The roots have all spread and it's backbreaking so I'm going to ask my young friend's partner to come and finish it for me.
It's been a lovely day. I'm sitting looking out of the kitchen door and I can see my spade and fork propped up against the post looking all forlorn. I couldn't even be bothered to put them back in the shed.

Just settling down to watch "Psycho". We have been out for dinner at a lovely place on the promenade call Somniart and they have entertainment like circ du soleil (Sp) very nice and very posh! One sits in little boxes without walls and curtains flowing, really nice. Just had chicken wok and strawberry sundae, it was lovely and breezy but of course by the time we had trudged out to the sticks to get home, was glowing rather, so jumped in pool and am now in bed.

sis got a third in the cross stitch section, I got naff all. The judge of the cakes must have been a real harridan, she had made a snotty remark (really really snotty) about every cake, even the winner.

I've had a right day which I won't bore you all with .Except to say it involved shortening some curtains and you all know what an expert needlewoman I am ...not ! I got in such a tither .I'm going to have to ring my niece and ask her if she'll sort out the mess I've made :)

Then Picky turned up for his dinner and more sorting. He's just gone .He did sit and watch Wallander with me though .
