Just staggered back in from sultry Kent in a glum mood... we extended our stay with jno jnr to two nights but I managed to leave my bag in his flat when we left this morning, so I am now naked - no money, credit cards, keys, cameras, toothpicks, everything. He says he will get it tonight and take it to work in Earl's Court tomorrow and I can go into town and pick it up from him there. Sigh.

I know just what you mean though about feeling naked jno. It makes you feel vulnerable.

Have been to the hospital to see rheumatologist. Not impressed 1hr 20min wait to see the doc for 10 minutes. I have to go back for an MRI scan, but there are delays!!!

50 minutes drive to hospital. 25 minutes to find parking space, 5 minutes wait to see nurse for 2 minutes, 1hr 20 minute wait to see doctor, 10 minute appointment, 1hr to get home!!!!!

jno, that's how I felt the other morn when Mr N drove off with my bag and contents.

Friend has just phoned from next village (Cala Llonga) her husband died 2 yrs ago so this year she finally took herself off to a health spa for a coupld of weeks of R & R (No not rock n' roll), her nephew stayed in her house until the day before she came back, and blow me she has been burgled, they unscrewed a patio door and even put it back on when they left. She's lost all her jewellry and one with her husband's ashes in a locket, and her laptop and a couple of other things, she is gutted, poor thing, she is so very nice aswell.

Ha, ha re Mr N, Nets

Whatever I have done to my hair, Nets, it ends up looking the same. It has a will of its own. It's nturally quite a mousey brown for the most part with some grey bits at the front. Until I saw that photo, I didn't realise that I haven't gone blonde, I have gone grey!!!! I quite like it though.

oh lord yes, it's a jungle out there, Lottie. Mostly safe but occasionally you get a gang of fang-bugs moving in without warning and having a go until you look like a purple people-eater and itch like crazy. I don't generally do too badly but OH has fair skin and draws them like a magnet.

jno jnr confirms my bag was on his sofa and I can collect it tomorrow, so that's a relief. We shot off from Kent early as OH suddenly received a request to be interviewed on German TV, the sort of offer no sensible OH refuses, especially when there's a small emolument involved.

I wonder if you could rub emolument on insect bites?
