Never have bought from Habitat or Ikea. I am still living in the last century with done up second hand furniture and hand me downs!!
Having been through the trauma of redundency in retail, Habitat staff will be in turmoil and I feel for them, they rely on customers for their living but the fat cats at the top don't really care, like any other business. Now the staff will have customers coming in asking for huge discounts cos the admin news has been all over the TV and not one customer will care that people are losing jobs, some habitat stff will have been there decades too,
Norwich is more a County Town of Culture than a Capital of Culture. I love the cathedral.
I was only saying to a friend a little while ago that I`m surprised Habitat is still going. When I think Habitat I think 1980s. I wouldn`t be surprised if Heales go the same way.
You are right Dotty. I was a redundancy victim when Clarksons/Courtline crashed in the 70's. All we heard on the news was about the poor cutomers that lost their holidays - there were about 3,000 redundancies and we barely got a mention.
Norwich is a City jno!! ;o)
