Head scarves

Does anyone know where I can buy a rayon polyester type square headscarf in a high street store? The only scarves I have seen have been the longer narrow ones. Many women wear square head scarves or put them round their neck/shoulder before slipping on a coat or jacket. I would like to buy one for an elderly neighbour. They also used to be sold in chiffon as well as the more expensive silk.
