I was out today looking for a gift for my SIL, I saw a really nice metal bronze coloured vase with metal flowers, the thing was just one whole piece, the flowers weren't seperate but fixed to the whole vase. I pondered for ages then decided against it. It was £63.99. Now I regret not buying it but I was worried that she may not like it so 60 quid down the drain. I don't really know why I'm asking this but should I go back and buy it.

If you feel she would really like it then go back. If not, sleep on it for a few nights then decide.

There was also a metal umbrella stand made out of the same stuff. It was shaped like an upturned umbrella about 3ft high, I'm stuck between the 2. I will do what you say and sleep on it, but I have this feeling that I will be back at this shop tomorrow.
The flower thing sounds nice, my sister has one - that price is not unreasonable, hers was hand welded.
What is her house like? Traditional? Minimal?

boxtops, this was hand welded, if someone bought it for me I would be delighted it's so hard to buy for her, she insists on a surprise gift.
woofgang, her house is a mixture, modern kitchen, trad conservatory, I think the vase would go well in the conservatory.
