Need a decent knitting needle case.
10 Answers
I took up knitting a few months ago and I'm really enjoying it and seem to be quite good at it. Naturally I'm amassing quite a few bits and pieces, but a plastic storage crate and a 'bag for life' are storing them well enough. However, need some sort of case for all the knitting needles I'm managing to collect. All the ones I've seen are either floral, tapestry or some other twee design, which I definitely don't 'do'. I'm looking at bright, jazzy, tartan, possibly even leather or something recycled. Anyone know of anything that's not mega-expensive?

There's a vintage leather one here, but it would only take a couple of pairs http://www.ebay.co.uk...H&hash=item415fcccbf3
A case made to hold artists paint brushes would do the job. You can buy them at any shop that sells art materials. They hold quite a lot of brushes and extend to hold both short and long brushes. They cost just a few pounds, and would be perfect for storing knitting needles. They're not jazzy, but they come in clear plastic or a variety of colours.
I've got a leather one full of every size of knitting needle plus some stitch holders and three short needles with points both ends for cable knitting. Had it for years so unfortunately do not remember where I bought it. It folds over and zips up so it is not huge. Must be some like it about somewhere.
