There are nice gift sets in Superdrug and Boots and the staff are there to help you choose. I would say most celebrity perfumes are good for that age. Something like Beyonce or Christina Aguilera are nice. Or you have Lacoste Touch of Pink if you don't want a celebrity one. The girls in the shops will help you though. :-)
Maybe they know what to expect from you.
To me, money says 'I don't care about you enough to be bothered to think of something you might actually like'.
It also means the whole present simply becomes about the value and if you can afford to give each person £100 good for you but you could get someone something they'd actually love for a fraction. After all, it's the thought that counts isn't it.

Nail varnish is a good gift, if they are allowed it - you would probably be able to get a set from Boots. Also, I bought a lovely gift set of 6 mini lipglosses by Benefit (expensive make up brand, so extra brownie points) at £ 19.50 - the older one may appreciate the value if she is label concious. Alternatively this age group seem to love the 'onesie' pyjama sets if you have a Primark or similar nearby.
