The Club is now Open

Welcome one and all to our wonderful club.

This will be the last time in 2011 that I shall be able to attend, but , of course, anyone else is welcome to open up on 24th and 31st Dec.

We are all agog here at the clubhouse as the son-and-heir is due to arrive home on Monday for his Christmas furlough. lordalex can scarcely contain himself. He has been re-arranging the whiskies for days now...or at least that's what he says he has been doing...he has certainly been sleeping well lately.

Our raffle this week has some festive prizes already:

Six strands of pink tinsel (hardly rusted at all)
Five golden coloured tree baubles (no hooks)
Four candy canes (sell-by 2003)
Three sprigs of holly. (With berries but very prickly)
Two sets of fairy lights (Worked last year but some lights seem to be a bit flickery now)
And a large bunch of mistletoe.

Sadly I am still somewhat under the weather due to the dratted virus and may leave early again. So I shall take this opportunity to wish all the MOFC members, past , present, future, those thinking of joining, those lurking and those irritated by us (you know who you are) all the Compliments of the Season. Here's looking forward to another year of fun and laughter in 2012!

Good evening Milady, all fires are stoked and the warmth flowing through the rooms. I have the table awash with delights of a warming and festive nature - including assorted voltra vons and game pies , hot chilli sausages, speciality cheeses and for later a hearty turkey and bean spicy stew, with crusty baguettes.

This weeks guest tailcock is the BerryBerryRed** - a beautiful deep deep colour and guaranteed to spur one on to better things.

For the Rofl, I have
12 Ribbon bows (green)
11 bent drawing pins
10 Cracker jokes
9 duff fairy light bulbs
8 empty mincemeat jars
7 sprigs of Mistletoe
6 Holly Leaves
5 Brussels sprout stalks
4 Champagne corks
3 Santa hats
2 Wine glasses
and
1 Restaurant menu (sticky finger marks)

A BerryBerryRed** will go down a treat.

You have been so busy in the kitchen. I think I'll sample some hot chilli sausages. Yaroo! they are , well, hot!
Certainly Milady and am sure the heat will heat with your discombobluation too, cheers!!

I can feel it going up to my head as I type....and descending again.....
Just the job then, quiet night I think.
Question Author
Seems to be quiet at the moment anyway...perhaps it'll fill up later after Strictly...

The inflatables have remained in place despite the windy weather...thank you so much for assembling them last week...I think that Vixen may have a slow puncture, though...
I would go up again but there are not many here yet to save me from a fall, plus I sampled a fair few BerryBerryRed**'s in the making process - quality control you understand, Hic!
Question Author
I fully understand...we must wait for reinforcements before you attempt any climbing or abseiling tonight.

If I may be so bold, your quality control has proved most effective. The BerryBerryRed** is a superb brew. Cheeky with deeper rounder notes of summer fruits within a base of turpentine.
I will not ask for the recipe as I know it is a closely guarded family secret.
So true, I should bottle some of these for future.
Question Author
Well, there appears to be plenty of room in the cellar...quite a lot of room really...
Good Evening Lady Alex and Mamya how lovely to see you both. I would love a tailcock please while I unload my festive offerings for the waffle.
