What is the best or worst shop you have shopped in, who has given best value and customer service. B&Q for me worst customer service, best Marks and Spencer

I like asdas best for customer services, the worst for me morrisons,staff like robots, and would like a special shout out to my small local coop, love you girls..

I find Sainsbury's possibly a little more expensive, but staff most helpful. Tesco, however . . . Very Little Help!

In training they tell you that customers always remember bad experiences more than good ones. I can't think of any bad shops! Mind's gone blank!

Best customer service has to go to Lush... they are always so lovely when you go in.

I suppose I don't like the girls at the make-up counters in Harvey Nicks, House of Fraser etc... They always seem so stuck up!

Saying this, I do think it's a bit unfair to tar a whole company with the same brush if you've had a bad customer service experience. It's down to the person isn't it? I always did very well with customer service.. It's the only thing I miss about working in a shop!! :)

PC World telephone services was absolutely awful. When I went to the store and mentioned some of the problems I had they answered "yes I know". What I do not understand is if they know why do they not do something about it!

Waitrose for food, Richer Sounds for Audio-Visual gear and John Lewis for most else. Don't have a "worst" - I'm very careful where I shop!

Never had a problem with B&Q or M&S. Undoubtedly the worst is Morrison's---
you are lucky to get even a hello from their staff.On the other hand ASDA staff
are outstanding--friendly--helpful--and nothing to much trouble.
Sainsbury's are good as well.

Waited for assistance in B&Q today while two assistants chatted with each other. TKMax bad customer service in our local store, always long queues. Sainsbury's staff always pleasant and helpful

Oh oh! I hate Primark... It always has massive queues, it's always a mess and there is always some ned in her school uniform running you over with her buggy!

I love love love Waitroses home delivery service...effortless and the delivery men are friendly and helpful.

Morrisons is horrendous for customer service in my area - I have complained and I don't do my weekly shop there. Tesco online is the way I generally go and the delivery drivers are ALWAYS really good, always have a smile and always 'happy to help'. I think customer service is generally down to the person though - some people are just really good at it and others just don't care at all.

I only have the choice of Tesco or Co-op locally and Tesco is appalling for customer service, Co-op is faultless but their stock is minimal.
The worst I've been treated lately was at the Mac counter in Harrods, I'm still seething about it.

Tesco ropy, Sainsbury's not bad, Waitrose excellent...M&S "the Good, Bad and Ugly." (but largely to the former)

Waitrose is excellent. The staff are invariably friendly and helpful and if you can't find something , will stop what they are doing and lead you to it.
John Lewis , the same company, is equally good.
Worst? PC World. If anyone can be bothered to serve you, their sole priority is to sell you the article that brings them the most profit, either generally or in commission, quite regardless of what you need, and then sell unnecessary extras as a bonus.

Waitrose is always a totally stree-free shop and excellent customer service. Debenhams are also excellent. Tesco and Asda are the worst.

I shop at morissons and the one I use is fine, most of the staff are helpful and friendly, tesco's on the other hand which is the only alternative if I don't want to travel too far is horrendous.

Agree- actually enjoy food shopping at Waitrose. And their Self-Scan ( as you go round the store, with a hand-held "gun" ) is far superior to all the others.

Our local Burtons got a very black mark from me a few months back, I won't go back in there.
Top service recently - Wickes, very impressed.

I'm sure anyone else on here from the North West of England would agree that you cannot beat Booths supermarket for both quality and customer service.

One of the ways I judge a store is - when you ask a member of staff where to find something, and they take you precisely to where the item is located, then 10 out of 10. But if they simply wave their arm in the general direction, and say something like, 'third aisle, and you'll find it on the right', then I'm not at all impressed.
I must be fortunate with the stores in my area. Staff in all of them will go to considerable effort to sort out any problem I might raise. (Maybe it's because the folk round my way are generally nice!).
