Online Shopping...

How many of you shop on line? I mean everything...

I get all my groceries from Tesco. my clothes from M&S, Kids toys, electrical goods, furniture, my printer inks & copier paper, Wines & Beers, Jewellery, I get books & CDs on line too.
you name it and I buy it on line. Even down to a box of sherbet 'Dip-Dabs for my grand/kids.
I very rarely go into a shop.

Anyone else like me?

I have never really experienced any problems with deliveries and I do have a safe dry large front porch which is handy when I am out. I find delivery drivers helpful and friendly. Nothing has arrived broken. I even buy all my gardens plants online now from a wonderful site called Plantify.co.uk (don't report me for advertising) - they work out a lot cheaper than garden centres even with the delivery and their plants are amazing.

I don't think you're lazy at all Jemisa. I would say practical and sensible. I do my Tesco shopping on line as I used to get absolutely exhausted going to the shop, then loading the car up, then unloading it and carrying it all into the house. It's brilliant and i always choose a £3 delivery slot. Well worth it. I also do quite a bit on Ebay for clothes and have seldom been disappointed.

Ebay and Amazon have done me proud. A few disasters from Ebay but nothing major and I have never had problems with sellers and Amazon with their free delivery is amazing. I never pay the extra but always seem to get stuff the next day.

I buy some things on line but it's such a pain when it goes wrong and there's no one physically there to complain to. This barrier between seller and the mark isn't one to be sought. Avoiding journey's and parking is an attraction though, as is the greater range of things.

you say that andres ... but the retail park i work in is always rammed. its ridiculous esp at holidays. xmas & eater is hell trying to get home... but on the flip side the town centre is dying but the council still charge for parking and its not cheap. I like going into town on a sat and having a mooch round the market but its costs me extra to park and i can park for free in the retail park

the towns need to look at their high streets and do something to tempt people in, free parking on weekends would be a start

Our high street has hardly any shops. Lots of cafes, hairdressers, more cafes, more hairdressers, banks, estate agents, more cafes, factory shops, charity shops. A few random food shops but nowhere that sells groceries. A thriving market on a Thursday, but you can't find anywhere to park and lots of touristy gift shops. Great!! Oh and even more cafes...........

i walk to the newsagent for my papers, everything else appears like magic on the doorstep via the internet

I'm luck enough to have a thriving High St practically on the doorstep .There's a good mix of shops and it's always busy .

You are lucky Shaney. We have a new Weatherspoons and New Marstons in town, just to add to the eateries. Great place to eat now now or have a coffee, but totally useless for shopping. I forgot, we have an Argos - I hate Argos. Even our old established department store is now The Factory Shop and opposite where Woolies was is the Warehouse Shop!! The only time I go to the high street is to meet a friend for coffee or go to the hairdressers. I bank online so I don't even go there for the bank. We have a small useless Boots.

Any shopping I do is on the out-of-town complex with Morrisons, Lidls, A brilliant new pharmacy and the animal feed warehouse.

shopping gives me a headache, not to mention parking costs, lack of choice, higher prices, I prefer online. I also agree with lottie, its all coffee shops, charity shops, payday loan/we buy your gold/cash converters, bookmakers and yes, more coffee shops!

I forgot, cazzz, about the bookmakers, etc. And I forget the numerous antique shops we have (most recently frequented by the Duchess of Cambridge!). I don't think she went in the Factory Shop though - not quite right for her new Norfolk home. I also forgot about the estate agents. We also have a very upper class, county/horsey type ladies clothing shop. Just my cuppa tea (not!).

It's brilliant Woofy. They sell direct from the field - no forced plants and I have had superb plants from them, wonderfully packed. And if you phone them they welcome and chat and have a really good knowledge of gardens and plants. Highly recommended.

Thanks for your replies folks, it seems I'm not in the minority lots of you find online shopping conveniant. I too suffer from back probs and can't do all the walking shopping requires. My 'picker' at Tesco knows my needs now I get excellent meat choices, bread & cakes too are good. I have no probs with goods I buy, M&S will take their stuff at a local store if I'm not satisfied & so will Tesco altho this is rare.
I think shops are closing because of the shopping malls, people prefer to shop there because its out of the weather & free parking.
Councils rip people off with parking fees.
