Depends on your budget, age and style, like in any other city. 

londontown seems a great website.  That's the link to the page on shoe shops.  I found it with google.

Lou, depending on what style you want, but there's a cool shop called Office just up the road from Charing Cross, before Tottenham Court Road that sell shoes cheap - alot more ladies shoes than blokes. Designer too!  I got a pair of Ted Baker boots for 45 quid which should have been 95 quid, but there are alot more shoes for women which change regularly.

Clockers at Charing Cross always have ladies shoes on sale too - ridiculous prices - some are about 5 quid!
