I always think that if their goods are so cheap, what are the people (mainly women) that make them paid? Refuse to shop there. Mind you, shopping ethically is becoming more and more difficult these days.

Yep.

Cheap as chips, don't mind if they don't last long at that price, though surprisingly they last quite a while.

Especially good for kids clothes as they grow out of them so quick they'd cost a fortune to kit out each season in other stores.
Love it. I buy most of my daywear clothes for holiday in Primark, occasionally evening wear too. I tend to stock up on fashion nails, undies and socks, as they are particularly cheap. Some of their stuff are of good quality, the rest is tack. However, I don't go shopping very often as I don't have the patience.
Why do you think it's tacky? It's cheap and cheerful!
Love Primark for their PJ's and scarfs... Their skinny jeans are good too
I used to love ours for kids clothes but I am finding it harder and harder to get stuff that I like. I've also noticed that their prices are slowly creeping up.
...now TK Maxx, that's tacky!
what gets me about Primark is how the stores look as though they have been ransacked. However, I have a friend in Russia who says they have very good jeans.
TK Maxx isn`t tacky.
To be fair Grassy, they have herds of rampaging teens barreling through their stores, it has to be nigh on impossible keeping the shelves looking pristine.
Perhaps it's our local one, 237 - the store layout looks like a jumble sale.
I love Primark particularly for holiday clothes, you can walk out with armfuls for under £30.
So does ours. I have only ever made it to six feet from the door and have hastily retreated.
TK MAXX is definitely not tacky. Primark is but I don't care, I'll still buy stuff there if it takes my fancy.

If you keep an eye on the Jeremy Kyle show audience you can see how well Primark and Matalan are doing.

It's an interesting observation that round here, a large section of the population wear track suits and velour shell suits - mind you, I can't talk, I live in leggings.

How I miss the days of shopping at C&A and Burtons!
I'm wearing tracksuit bottoms now, I use them as PJs. I can't imagine ever wearing them out of the house. I do wear leggings sometimes but always with a nice tunic over them.
I usually do my Primark shopping in the Princes Street Street Store and that is always really well laid out and tidy.. Yep the prices are creeping up a little but still good value.
