Sorry, 237SJ. Nobody here is going to believe that you're regressing to your childhood.

We all know that you never left it ;-)

I think you might be right there..
My eldest daughter got one last Christmas, I love it - unfortunately it is jammed into a cat-proof corner.
Yes.....I did have a bright pinky-red one but after 20 years, I gave it to my niece and her boyfriend, where it has pride of place on the sideboard !
Yes they also had a bit of a revival about 10 years ago. We have 2.
Not any more.
Lol, I have several as they’re weirdly hypnotic I also have one of those rain gadgets that are a window with rain pouring down

I must have missed the last revival. The original Mathmos ones are about £70+ Interesting that most of them are rocket shaped. Must have been something to do with the space race.
no i remember them first time around, crikey that ages me.
No but I quite fancy one!

My silly childish purchase a few weeks back were speakers with led lit water in them that beats in time to the music. Im really taken with them.

Barmaid - there is a good range at Argos (I got the blue/green one) http://www.argos.co.uk/search/lava-lamps/
They are quite mesmerising arent they?

Yes, very calming and "other worldly"

Where? I want a pair now, lol
I think Mathmos was the name of the sentient ocean under the city in Barbarella, which maybe explains soemthing of the rocket connection.
my recent childhood regression purchase was a bakelite telephone. it's so satisfying to hear it clunk
I've bought the kids a tamagotchi each for Christmas - the child in me is hoping I'll have to 'look after' one of them (not all five though, that would do my head in).
