Farm Foods
12 Answers
Anyone on here go to Farm Foods regularly? Did my first shop there this weekend as my daugter asked me to call in and get her some Bold Washing Powder that was on offer at 2 boxes of 130 washes at £21 for the two. She has skin allergies and this is the only one she uses. I got 2 300g jars of Nescafe for £9 (£8 each in Morrisons), 1kg of cheddar cheese for £3.99 and 250g of butter at 99p each. At that price I will give them a try and the stock up if any good as on offer till 2nd December. No ties to the shop or anybody working there.

Our nearest one is now in the bigger town and even with a £5 taxi fare home, we'd still be saving money than if we shopped in Morrison's which is now our nearest largest supermarket.

I keep meaning to get there (as they're always having promotional leaflets pushed through my letterbox) but they're not that near to me and I've only got a 'table-top' freezer, so I can't bulk-buy most of what they've got on offer. (Yes, I know that they sell non-frozen lines but it's mainly frozen stuff that they concentrate on).
If you've not picked up a leaflet with their money-off vouchers in, BD, you can download and print them from here:

I came across a Food Warehouse (which is the name used by Iceland's larger stores) recently. I quite liked what I found there:

We are lucky in Eccles that we have an Aldi, a Morrisons, Fram Foods and The Food Warehouse all within a few hundred yards of each other and I use the Food Warehouse a lot but will be checking out prices now before I go. At Farm Foods I also bought some frozen lamb chops, bags of vegetables, some scotch pies (mmm) and other bits. I picked up a leaflet and because I spent over £25 I got another £2 off with one of the coupons. Very happy shopper.
There's a FF just around the corner from my house. Not too keen on some of the frozen foods such as pork chops (never been anywhere near a pig, i don't think), or lamb chops (about 1/8th of an inch thick), but the frozen chicken is ok. Also at bargain prices are the frozen veg (5 assorted packs for £4) and frozen fruit (4 packs for £5 - great for adding to porridge/cereals/yoghurt). I normally use it for day to day groceries such as bread and milk, which are also cheap.
