I'm not surprised as they have been struggling for a while. I'm relieved to see a refund of £50 for a returned item landed in my bank account last Thursday. Phew, that was close, could have lost it.
I wonder if the government will help them out and the many other stores who will very soon be struggling. I hope they leave enough money to continue to pay our State Pensions eek!!!
It was always going to be on the cards. With stores like B&M and The Range, and the fact we live more of a disposable lifestyle, means places like Laura Ashley are just too expensive.
I`m surprised Debenhams is still going. As far as state pensions are concerned, think yourself lucky you don't have a work pension that is going down the pan.
Don't please 237. That's all my son is talking about. I keep telling him it'll come up again and there is nothing he can do about it so stop looking. He ignores me.
Our Laura Ashley is located in a tiny precinct with Wilko, Peacocks, and a Barnardos. Upstairs is Sainsbury's. It's rarely busy.
Debenhams has never-ending sales, and all the staff on the makeup and perfume counters just stand around chatting. They're having a 50% off sale now.
Bobbi I've just looked at their website and it seems to be still working plus wallpapers are all reduced.
Yes, sad for your DiL Arrods. Does she know how long she's got?
