No Cat Food :-(

I couldn't buy any cat food in Tesco today, the entire rack was empty of all brands. Is this the latest to be added to the panic buying list?

I have never looked for it on amazon before - the prices are pure robbery, up to 4 times more than usual.

Bednobs - thanks, I will have a look after seeing what Tesco brings. We have dozens of sachets of kidney failure food, but that is usually rejected.

I can't walk without falling just now (as well as being in a risk group) so I am trying to get a stock of the important stuff, I have more food for Frankie than for me. Normally I could get out to Tesco.

Piggynose - eating cat/dog/guinea-pig is the norm in some countries. I have no right to say that they should not do so.

But many of the animals are badly treated before death -that is not acceptable.

Are you serious, piggynose?
I saw pics of live cats squashed into cages waiting for their deaths and to be eaten. I’ve got my lovely mog on my lap. I think I might become veggie. It’s horrible.

Lidl had cat food - but only pricey ones left -all the cheapy ones gone. Priorities , eh ? Noticed that trend with a few other items aswell

Sorry i wasnt up on how theyre treated. I did see a lot of them skinned at a market alongside some dogs too. If theres 1 consolation, i believe they only eat one type of cat and dog.

Tesco has nothing... Tesco, morrisons, sainsburys etc.. They have nout. Try B&M or Lidl or Farm Foods, something like that.

Doesn’t really make me feel better about it, but I’m sure you’re not a horrible person. I eat lamb and pork after all.

B&M is usually a good source of cat food and treats. Alas someone set fire to ours and our Petsathome. (Is that supposed to be one word?)

Cats shouldn't eat dog food as their dietary requirements are different.

It would probably be okay in an emergency.

Most cats love Tuna but that's not good for them either.

I woudn't say cat's can eat dog food, they can be quite fussy and they're carnivores
