Ebay No Longer Paying Direct To Paypal?

I've got a question regarding how I get paid by ebay now it no longer goes straight to PayPal.
Today I've sold an item, it tells me I have been paid, so where is the money as its not showing in my bank account?
I think I read somewhere that it can take 3 days to appear - so what happens if the buyer hasn't actually got the money to pay me & I have posted the item?
I'm sure there must be an easy explanation, well hope there is. Thank you for any help.

If eBay is showing that you've been paid, it means that they've received the funds from the buyer. They'll then deduct their 12.8% of the total price (including shipping) and send the remainder of the money to your bank within 2 working days. (i.e. by Tuesday in this case). With the vast majority of High Street bank accounts that will probably mean that the money will the be available to on that day but a few bank accounts might still have 'clearing' times of up to 4 days.

NB: If you'll no longer be using your PayPal account, remember to close it, as PayPal now has a £12 per year 'inactivity fee' (for accounts which haven't been used in the preceding 12 months).

They sent out a letter a little while ago saying they were going to do this but you may have deleted it thinking it was spam.

Go to eBay settings and update your info adding bank account

They won’t pay you through PayPal any more. When you have sold something they send you an email, then another email to say it has been paid. They then pay it into your bank less their fee and let you know when the money has gone in .... so check with your bank after a couple of days. It has worked ok for me so far. Just different and l preferred the money to go into PayPal. Oh well.

I sold something on ebay on the Saturday for £7. The person paid immediately. After 3 or 4 days i had an email from ebay to say that the money was now in my bank account...£6. So it looks like payments take 3 or 4 days to reach your account.
Don't you still need paypal to "buy" things on ebay?

No. You've never needed a PayPal account to pay through PayPal (which is different to paying from the funds in your PayPal account). You simply enter your debit/credit card details, just as you would when paying on any other website, when making a purchase on the site.
