Ahhh....thanks, Roadman.....the water bit confused me. If it's for punch then a large decorated saucepan would be better. You could put white cotton wool around the handle and have Santa in his sleigh sliding down as if to land in the punch....x

The bucket is described as "plastic", which covers a multitude of things. People review them and say they are "brittle"...so probably not HDPE. You are hoping to have an alcoholic mixture in them, which may dissolve out some dubious things (BPA isn't the only thing to worry about).
Overall, I'd find something else.
