Don't know what they're called (probably different all over the place, Bargain Books maybe?!), but I bought packets of blank cards and envelopes from those cheap book shops you get all over the place. I think it was about �8 for a pack of 50, and they have different colours and sizes. Worth popping in next time you pass one.

If you have a 'works' book shop they stock some of the basics at cheap prices
do cheap items which seem ok, look out for some of the craft / card making magazines which usualy come with freebies, and have an intensive list in the back of shops.
Try charity shops too, its amazing what you can pick up theat can be recyled for a card
