I'm at my wits end! what can i buy for a reasonably young 70somthing grandmother for christmas?

I usually spend around �20 on her?

something personal. how about something from where she grew up. a local history book on where she was born, or even better a DVD/Video of the area from 1930's.

If she lives on her own a jar opener from Lakeland Plastics Ltd. would be very handy,I have one and it's a godsend for the tightest of lids when you have no one to help you open your jar of pickled onions.
a rechargeble light in case of a power cut or for a young 70 a masarge!
Why not give her a framed photo of her grand child/children. You can also get photos transferred onto mugs and coasters. If she is into jigsaw puzzles you can get one done from a photo to.

Last year i bought my grandma a magazine subscription,she lives on her own and is always dashing to the shops for her weekly reads!I got it from greatmagazines.co.uk and she has it delivered straight to her door which she likes because she thinks shes posh!they have hundreds of choices for all ages and hobbies,doing the same for a few relatives again this xmas.if your on a budget they do 6 months or 12 month deliveries.hope this helps!
