I'm getting married (whoo-hoo!) in August, and can't wear heels. I really want some purple ballet-style shoes, either the lace up the leg type or just flat ballet pumps will do. Any suggestions please? Online shops, or essex area would be best. Thanks!

www.prettyballerina.com - quite pricey but very pretty!!
Sorry might be www.prettyballerina.co.uk
Sorry again - I always get this wrong it is definitely www.prettyballerinas.com
Our local dancewear ( ballet/tap/jazz stuff) shop stock satin pumps which they can dye any colour.
I do not think it's advisable to wear the type that lace up the leg, because it is very difficult to adjust them so that they do not fall down the leg, or otherwise they might make your legs constricted so that the laces make unsightly marks (even if you are slim). The last thing you want to be doing on your wedding day is to worry about your shoes..you've got to stare into the lucky guy's eyes!

Thanks guys, good point about the lace up ones bartotagogo - I hadn't considered that! Think I'll skip the lace up type then. The ones suggested are great - but if anyone has any more suggestions, keep 'em coming!
