To record subtitles on a DVD recorder, you will need digital TV. Make sure the subtitle mode on digital TV is turned on before you start recording.

Yes it is, just asked my hubby. The model you need is a Daewoo (not the car!), it has digital TV built into it and will show the subtitles. Good Luck.
