does anyone know any good charities that you can pay to "adopt" turtles or penguins on? seen there are quite a few just wanted to know if anyone had any knowledge of any? cheers

I get the feeling that one animal 'could' be adopted by 100 people ... how would you know it belongs to you and only you?? I would do anything for animals, but I just don't trust some charities .....
Some zoos and safari parks do adoption/ sonsorship packages. At Edinburgh zoo they put little plagues on the cages with the names of the sponsors. Also means you can have a day out and go and visit your animal.
I don't know if you are only looking for a penguin or a turtle. WDCS (whale and dolphin conservation society) are always advertising for adoptive 'parents' for whales and dolphins.
