It scares me, so am off to watch a film, and to make it worse they have actually "crucified" a young village lad, by tying (luckily) him to a cross, but I find it all very frightening and upsetting and the drums beat slowly every step. Gonna put my head under the duvet for an hour.
Think I'm gonna get you one of those t-shirts Shaney that say "If the liver is bad punish it"...
Ha ha ha Robinia - but I don't know what's taking bufferman so long, he hasn't turned up here yet. Oh, of course... vinny's snow mirage /When do the British swear allegiance to the queen, Robinia, do y'all do that at school or is it in a particular kind of situation? We have a king but I've never pledged allegiance to him - I mean, would you?
After the snow stopped falling the sun came out and it was just lovely outside. Can't say I like the cold but today was nice, the air so crisp and the sun so bright, I'll sleep like a baby.
I heard about (medieval) trials against animals, but not the Hartlepool monkey, it's a good story Vinny - thanks! (Hope it isn't true...)
Oh wow, that's strong imagery, Neti. Scary stuff, the church is. (Churches, though, I like.)
oh mick (Ha ha, I love how he opens his shirt!)

Bunnies. It's a lovely lovely day here. My desk and chair stand close to the window and as I sat down this morning (and I do mean morning, hoouuuurs ago) the back of the chair was already soooo warm from the sun!!! (The seat wasn't, having stood in the shadows under the table, but that's another story and a more shocking one, ha ha ha.) Bye now, I'm off to catch some rays of sun on my pale pale face.
hello all, hoping this works (now there's a familiar comment) have had a nightmareish time here, mum still in hospital although she is now in a rehab unit and walking a few steps again so better than we had hoped. DH had really bad chest infection, ended up off work and in bed (unheard of) buit he had to take care of the dogs for the day while I visited Mum (she's in london, I am in Hants ) which put back his recovery AND I couldn't get in here at all. not even to read.
Phew its nice to be (potentially) back.
here's an easter goody for you all
bunny fun

Ding Dong Merrily!....well it looks & feels like xmas here...snow & hail, grrrr....so please keep your warm & sunny reports under your Easter bonnets.
sorry to hear you've not had a good time of it lately woofy, hope things look up soon. Everyone I know is either ill or depressed...Charlie's the only happy chappie as he was let off the shearing yet again as she's not well today.
Kit we don't do the swearing yet - it's the latest brain[less]wave of our wonderful government & intended for school leavers/young adults. I don't see it taking off somehow...let's ask the youth of tomorrow

I just asked the baby sitting in the beer garden.....no respec these days (:O)
Oh hi Woofy, I was hoping you'd turn up again. Sounds like you have a lot on your table, but at least you have your dogs to cheer you up as only dogs know how.
I took care of a dog the other day... for all of five minutes. His master - no one I know - got thrown out of a stationer's shop for bringing his dog along. He, like me, had come there to use the copier, but when he was made to leave I offered to take care of the dog (a Dalmatian) for a while, and here's what's funny: I tested out some hand gestures I've seen Cesar Milan do, and I can't say I've really understood the gestures but that's why I tested them - and hey the dog understood! He didn't sit just because I said so but sat down immediately when I gave the tiniest sign with my hand, and he remained sitting for almost five minutes without questioning who I was to boss him about. Fascinating - you don't even have to know what you're doing, just do as Cesar does.
Wasn't warm and sunny here, Robi, but cold and sunny which was okay too but what I really don't like about winter is when the pavements turn into ice, which is the case now. I take small enough steps as it is, with my bad back, don't need the extra hassle. there's an idea
There's somebody asking about Devon over at People & Places, Vinny, lots of replies already, perhaps it's all been said?

morning all, my access seems to be lasting so I thought I'd post while i can. Thank you for all the good wishes...I just don't seem to have had any time to myself lately, which is selfish i know but I have missed my cyber buddies something chronic. Yesterday i finally had a bit of time to sit down and sort out my access problem yet again, hopefully this time permanently.
We've been fortunate with little gifts left by our dogs Kit, one of them shows a disposition to eat it (breakfast anyone??) but they don't leave it around the house.
That Dog whisperer stuff really does work! I have been using his gentle domination methods on the feistier of our two pups. We had trouble using traditional correction (ie shouting) as it used to worry the other less confident one. Both of them "get" the hand gestures and being stood over and behave themselves quite happilly (as far as they can at 5 months). His concept of the rules being what the packleader says they are is a useful one as well. So many training books say don't let the dog on the furniture/upstairs/feed them tidbits because they will think they are the boss and not behave. He says be the boss, behave like the boss then as the boss you do what you want seems to work well.
I just took OH up a cup of tea and its the first morning he didn't sound like a walrus so his chest seems to be clearing...hopefully normal life will be resumed soon.
...also its a bit less cold here today, yesterday was bitter with gale force winds.
Happy Easter to all...hope you are feeling more cheerful Neti, that procession sounds orrible.
speak later......

Morning. It's cold here today but not like in the Sami village (remember the Sami?) of nikkaluokta (Well what do you expect with a meteorologist named Frost.)
Nice quote, Vindog. Moondog made a record with the Swedish band the Fleshquartet, conducting them. Can't find'em together on YouTube but here's the Fleshquartet with a lot of other guest artists. 'Cos you need a lot of guest artists if you're gonna build a cheerleader pyramid don't you.
If you do run into puta problems again Woofy this guy is the best Poo question for you dog people (it's an odd question, I hope to be able to explain at a later date why I'm asking but I'm not at liberty to do so just now): When dogs find other dogs' do, can it be upsetting to them, like an insult, a territorial intrusion? (Or is it just something lovely to roll in, ha ha!)
happy easter, biddies
