oh neti, what a burger. I am quite a thief magnet myself, never in the UK except for the time we were burgled. But I also got burgled in Spain, mugged in Brazil, pickpocketed in Istanbul, Hong Kong and Rome, money vanished from suitcase in NY (hotel staff) and left a bag on Eurostar (train staff), and of course one of our bags was given away to someone else by a hotel in Lille last year. So I am an international victim and Interpol has a chair endowed in my honour in one of their interrogation rooms.
Have you ever written a book jno. I would buy it because it would be very exciting!!

"The Adventures of a Biddy"!!!!

Doing a Lottie indeed Neti. Gone are the days.

We have been for a lovely meal with friends and I'm now off to bed.

Night, night, sleep tight all.

xxxxxx
Morning all, my goodness jno, you have been mugged everywhere. Hija also has been robbed many a time, and I am always shouting at her to be more vigilent. That's what gets me is how they unzipped the bag when it was on my shoulder and to route about for the purse as the bag was stuffed! Mr N has given me some money so will off to buy a purse soon.

Hope you are all well

Especial good wishes go to Mr Woofy and Mr S !
Good morning Biddyfriends. Just a quick call in as I'm off to my usual Tues. 'sojourn', Is that the word Jno? Tai chi and lunch. It's a bit cool today and no sun at the mo. The forcast says drizzle in the Midlands.
I am now not happy with my hair cut I had last Friday. It's a bit toooo short so I'm just hoping it grows PDQ.My hairdresser's good and I'm not blaming her - it was my mistake asking her to take a bit more off but it wont happen again.
Blimey Jno you're sure are a 'magnet'. I'd be really nervous about being mugged.
I was going to watch New Tricks last night but missed that, (like the night before missing Law & Order), because my Plumber rang me and we were on the phone for 40 minutes.
I hope you all have a good day and like Neti says, extra thoughts for Mr S and Mr W.
See yer later 'gater(s)
Morning Jude and other biddies.

Drizzly and grey here this morning and not very warm. That's just me!! But the weather is the same.

Had a rotten night, just couldn't get to sleep, then got cramp, Mr LL was breathing too loud, then I heard the cat hurl itself at a door somewhere. Found said cat locked in study/hall. Said cat had pee-ed all over my shoes and carpet. Cleaned up after cat, took paracetamol, went back to bed, Mr LL's breathing even more annoying and then it turned to snoring, got hot, got cramp, dog needed to go out, I needed the loo...................... and so on.

Friend coming round for a coffee and 11.00am and I have promised myself a couple of hours nap when she leaves.

See you later

xxxx
Morning all...hope you're all as well as possible. Bit gloomy & cool here.

Now look jno, you're just showing off...international biddymuggee....I'm just home loving & muggy. Actually you've all made me paranoid now. How about one of these each? I didn't know they existed until now.

Right I'm off to don my bulletproof hairnet & brave the streets.
Morning Robi

Just hide your purse in your bra

ah, that's nice, we are going to have a week in Paris next month.

Our housesitters are continuing the remaking of their London flat and need to move out, so they have invited us to take over their Paris flat while they move into ours. A win-win situation, really. They were here for 10 weeks while we were in Asia/NZ earlier in the year but it all came to grief - she had employed her brother (a builder) to do the work but he got stroppy and stalked out leaving it unfinished. So much for trying to help family out. Anyway, they've now got a proper builder and will try again, and we will go to Paris to try to help out the local pickpockets
am having a week horibilus. Hija sent home as vomiting (
That makes three of them at work)
Have had a legal letter about our land which none of the authorities understand, am awaiting a phone call from police architect . It IS so stinking hot, asked everywhere for purse, no luck. Am sitting in main street having a coffee.
Home again absolutely drenched. Hija in bed in a lovely chilly room! I wilol defo have a siesta this afternoon in the cool, but had better go and swim and sunbathe as am looking decidedly pale!
lottie email.
Hello chooks
Hope you are all Ok today .Miserable here .Dull and chilly .I think we've had it for the summer .
Crikey Jno you must be jinxed .And there's me moaning about one handbag .
You simply must buy one of those bags on Robinias link .I'm dithering .It's rather nice and practical, not that I travel anywhere much these days but it may come in handy in the High Street.

Nothing doing at Shaneytowers .Same old ,just a different day .
New Tricks was very good Jude and I got 13 on Scores on the Doors .
Hydrangeas are lovely this year

Beautiful shaney, we had lots of those in our gardens when we were children.
Lovely hydrangeas Shaney. They are good this year. I have just treated myself to a lace cap in a beautiful cream colour.

Was going to have a sleep after lunch to recover from last night's lack of it. Son phoned and I went round there. He is off sick - just feels washed out and poorly, but has been doing some work from home. He works to hard and doesn't know when to pack up and rest. Long hours in employment and then spends time at the weekend renovating and decorating. Bit like his father is, well more 'was' - he father is pacing himself better since the scare.

Anyway, it was nice to have a chat. Then called to see another friend, my gardener friend, who gave me a glass of red wine and I have just got home.
Mr LL is on the M25 at present so no rush for an early dinner!!

Hope Hija is feeling a bit better Neti.
Hi all. Just come in after cutting my trees back at the bottom of my garden.I'm as red as a beetroot.
I'm going to have 5 minutes sit down and then going to bed.
You'll never believe this Shaney, I missed UC as I had a visitor till about 8.45. So then I went out side again to finish off my trees. It has taken me about 3 hours. I have enough cuttings to fill 3 bins. Just tidying up to do tomorrow.
Your Hydrangeas are lovely.
Your trip sounds lovely Jno. I've never stayed in Paris only passed through as yer do!
Right that's me done. I hope you all have a good night and better than last night for you Lottie. It'll be a windows wide open night for me I'm so hot.
Sleep tight all!

Haven't read the thread as I am xzausted DH had his last radiotherapy today, he is poorly but better than the weekend sleep well all
beautiful hydrangeas, shaney. Ours are looking as good as they've ever been too. Must just be good hydrangea weather or something.

Hope woofy is sleeping well, she sounds as if she needs it.
My weeds are flourishing this year.

Went to the local Juridirers (I've no idea either) and they are looking into the land grab, will call me! Fingers crossed.

Well done Mr Woofy for having the last radiotherapy, my sister found the radiotherapy very draining and uncomfortable, so I hope he is feeling more comfy now.

Mr N was in a mood last night, I had made chicken wraps which I happen to like, and he refused to eat them saying they were like Macdonalds food (this from a man who likes hamburgers!) so I ate mine and went to bed, haven't spoken to him since, mind you that is not unusual we often don't speak.

I have been living on this little island 40yrs ago today and back in the same house that I came to, my how it has changed and not for the better, except, we have leccy, water, internet, tv, but the fun has gone, although that may well be my age!!
Morning all.
Oh I know the feeling Neti :)
The most fun I seem to have these days is yesterdays stale doughnut which I've just scoffed with a cup of tea .I'd love to go out on the razz like I used to forty years ago but doubt I could stand the pace .In fact I doubt I'd be standing at all .

Very dull here .I do hope the sun makes an appearance today .We've had several days of dull now .

I hope Mr Woofy soon feels better now the treatment is over .
